Thanks to you, year after year Bungalow 44 has remained one of Marin County’s most popular restaurants. It’s now time to take off for a few weeks for a little facelift – our first in the 13 years we’ve been open.
We are so grateful for your support over the years, you have made Bungalow 44 what it is today, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Thanks for spreading the news SF Chronicle: Mill Valley’s Bungalow 44 to close temporarily. “…a new dining room and bar… They’ve also brought on a new chef Gabe Charpentier who most recently the chef de cuisine at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans, to run the kitchen. There will be a new menu, too, which will have “hyper-seasonal and vegetable-focused menu that will include lighter and more imaginative offerings.” Read article

“Big changes are ahead for downtown Mill Valley’s Bungalow 44. Established restaurateurs Peter Schumacher and Bill Higgins (Buckeye Roadhouse, Playa) have announced that their 13-year-old restaurant at 44 E. Blithedale Ave. is temporarily closing Sunday to undergo an extensive refresh. Under the guidance of established restaurant designer Doug Washington, the restaurant will receive a refresh, including new lighting, floors, booths and fixtures. It is expected to take approximately four weeks.”
